University: 2013 Services Engineering Intern

The web is breaking free of the confines of the browser and moving into the cloud. The Mozilla Services team (https://services.mozilla.com) exists to give the users control of their data in this new online-centric world and to create open source solutions to common problems encountered by server developers, enabling them to focus on creating new products rather than worrying about their infrastructure. We are looking for engineers who can design and implement server applications, features and libraries that will affect the lives of millions of users.
Skills/Experience required:
* Enrollment in a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* Experience developing web-based applications
* Strong understanding of data stores, networking, and system performance
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to quickly learn and be effective with multiple code bases
* Experience with Python and/or Go
* A strong understanding of mobile application development is a major plus
* Participating and contributing to Open Source projects a *huge* plus
