Our Marketing Communications group is building a virtuous feedback loop with culturally relevant events, influencer engagement and content generation. As the Events Manager for Germany you will help us grow this competency, with a focus on concepting and executing stand-out events that capture outsized share of voice for Firefox. What You’ll Do
  • Work with a globally distributed team to scale high quality events that produce valuable branded content
  • Work with our NA Event Managers to localize events for the German market
  • Work with our Developer Relations Event Manager to support local events
  • Research and evaluate the event and consumer marketing space to build plans that showcase Firefox's’ role in popular culture
  • Manage events from beginning to end, to include concept ideation, logistics and execution
  • Work with local team to define and produce event content - before, during and after the event - from social marketing to live video and printed materials
  • Work alongside the NA Influencer Manager to adapt and define key partners and identify the right influencers to participate in our events
  • Working with the Team Lead, participate in our budget request process, defining key results against spend and managing that spend to approved budget
  • Work closely with our Executive Communications Lead to understand and amplify our Executives’ communication platforms and narrative through strategic events
  • Hire and lead brand ambassadors, production labor, talent, logistics and third party production partners
  • Assess program effectiveness and communicate back to Team Lead and the Marketing org
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends in consumer tech, lifestyle and culture arena
  • Research, understand, measure, and experiment with new and alternative ways to use event technology to achieve overall marketing objectives and goals
What You’ll Need
  • German language required (proficiency in speaking and writing) and English as a second language
  • A minimum of four years of experience developing and managing increasingly complex communications projects with a focus on event and experiential marketing
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience developing events, content, campaigns and messaging for varied channels, including social
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to direct the work of external vendors and influence peers
  • Expert at leveraging integrated communications and marketing channels to reach niche audiences
  • Keen ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Project management and problem solving expertise
  • Experience working on a globally distributed team
