Mozilla’s Firefox Operations Security Team is looking for a Security Engineer to increase the security of our AWS cloud infrastructure. You will need to have worked with AWS, experience implementing access control and network security policies in cloud environments (AWS, Heroku, Azure, etc.), and a solid understanding of DevOps and modern web applications. You will be protecting our infrastructure by working closely with the teams responsible for hosting backend services for Firefox. You will be expected to provide hands-on technical engineering of our ever-growing server and application environments. Most importantly, you will become a core member of the team responsible for protecting Firefox, and keeping Mozilla's users safe on the Internet.   • Protect the services Firefox depends on from compromises.
  • Strengthen the controls around our AWS environments (IAM policies, network ACLs, Cloudtrail logging & monitoring, etc.)
  • Develop and implement security controls for various cloud infrastructure providers (Heroku, Azure, GCP, Packet.net, etc.)
  • Automate security testing and auditing to prevent regressions and catch issues before they reach production.
  • Write, maintain, and expand automation scripts and monitoring tools
  • Work with developers and operators across the organization to keep the Firefox backend infrastructure safe
Your Professional Profile
  • Proven AWS security knowledge, from high level architectural concepts down to the implementation.
  • You have fortified cloud infrastructure, and implemented kernel security, network access controls, account management, etc.
  • Comfortable working alongside agile ops teams.
  • Experience coding in Python, Ruby, or Go.
