Mozilla Enterprise Information Security is responsible for the day to day security of Mozilla systems and properties, including those delivering Firefox to millions of users and powering thousands of volunteers and developers. As a Security Engineer for the Mozilla Enterprise Information Security team, you will build and improve the tools we use to monitor our environment for security threats. You will design and develop advanced security tools, and you will use those tools to manage vulnerabilities and analyze threats.   • Develop tools to perform investigations and forensics on remote endpoints and infrastructure
  • Design and implement security and analytic features to address emerging threats
  • Triage and report on vulnerabilities to system owners
  • Write alerts for events that may indicate compromise or malicious activity
  • Investigate suspicious activity, analyze threats, and contribute to incident response activities
  • Automate actions and integrate systems to reduce human effort
  • Ensure our systems protect Mozilla and Mozillians while allowing appropriate and timely access to our resources
Your Professional Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related program) or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience coding in Golang. Python, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, C, etc. are a plus
  • Hands-on experience building infrastructures in AWS
  • Experience using a mix of commercial, open source and in-house developed tools as needed to perform ongoing tasks
  • Proven experience operating in sensitive, operational production environments
  • Comfortable discussing security impact, risks, vulnerabilities and threats to a variety of audiences and capable of balancing security with the need to move projects forward
  • Ability to work with a geographically distributed team
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
